This story speaks about a poor dog called Bliss; who has been through very bad conditions in her 2 years of life.
Unfortunately, an extremely rare tumor started growing in her skull. So, she was surrender her to a high-kill shelter to be euthanized by her family. The dog was so confused and scared.
Fortunately, a rescue organization called Friends of Emma heard Bliss' story and decided to rescue her. Thankfully, they were able to rescue the dog and they found that she is microchipped with an "owner hold" but no one stepped in to take her from the shelter.
Bliss was completely happy when she was taken by Friends of Emma to their rescue center. The first thought was that Bliss was going to die soon because of the fatal tumor, but after some diagnostic tests, they knew that she was not affected by it.
She could live for many years as she was healthy if they remove the tumor. So, the founders of Friends of Emma, Elizabeth Hart, directly searching away to treat her tumor. She was finally able to find the right person who was a veterinary cancer surgeon in Ontario.
The Canadian surgeon's plane was to remove the dog's tumor and a part of her skull which will be replaced with a 3D printed porous polyethylene. They will also start radiation and chemotherapy for the dog to prevent any new tumor from growing.
Bliss will be able to make the surgery when the perfect implant is ready. This means that Bliss will be cancer-free. Watch the video below.
